Mark Spicer is the Managing Director of BlueSky Airways, a startup airline in Botswana. He has 35 years of experience in the aviation industry, covering all aspects of the business, including flight and maintenance. He is an Airline Transport rated pilot, with a number of years flying as Captain for a U.S. airline. Before starting BlueSky Airways, he managed a growing flight charter and maintenance oranization in Botswana for many years, giving him a strong management history of successfully developing a program to expansion. He has extensive experience leading an international workforce and in liaising cross-culturally with government officials. Mark is a permanent resident of Botswana and has lived here for more than 20 years. His outside interests include mentoring economic refugees and assisting families of children with special needs. The joy of his life is KG, his own daughter with special needs, who was adopted here in Botswana.
